Chris Fetner began his entertainment career as an Operations Manager at a local PBS affiliate in Washington, DC. He went on to serve as a producer for several local and national television programs including the award-winning medical and science show “Frontiers of Medicine”. In 2002, he joined Discovery Communications as a post-production and operations executive seeing them through a transformation to an all-digital workflow. Before joining Netflix in June of 2012, Chris spent nine years with BBC Worldwide in New York as the Vice President of Post Production and Technical services. In that capacity he oversaw all technical operations supporting both the cable network BBC America and their distribution to EST, VOD, and SVOD customers. At Netflix he and his team serve as the primary technical liaisons with Content Owners and Service Vendors supplying the platform. He deploys tools, processes and knowledge to make delivering high quality content simple and efficient to Netflix.
